Woody's Scarlett Fever Cooling for Jen?

Jennifer Aniston Fame Pictures

Is Woody Allen’s Scarlett Johansson obsession sliding into a Friends fetish?

Perhaps, as Allen may be courting Jennifer Aniston for an upcoming film. Allen and Aniston, joined by his wife Soon Yi, were spotted dining at Beverly Hills staple Madeo last night.

There's speculation Allen may be interested in featuring Aniston in a forthcoming project, and E! News can confirm that Woody indeed has a new film brewing.

“It’s top secret, we’ve barely heard anything,” industry sources tell us. “But he’s definitely writing it.”

Casting Couch: Diesel's Riddick Return; Swank on Borrowed Time

Vin Diesel, Hilary Swank Universal Pictures, Jason Kempin / Getty Images,
  • Apparently over that whole Pacifier interlude, Vin Diesel wants to blow things up again. The 41-year-old thesp is ready to resurrect his ass-kicking sci-fi antihero Riddick, reteaming with writer-director David Twohy for a pair of sequels to 2000's Pitch Black and 2004's The Chronicles of Riddick.
"The only question is whether we take a page from the Lord of the Rings guys and try to shoot the two chapters at the same time," Diesel tells MTV, adding that the new flicks "would answer Pitch Black in the same way that Lord of the Rings answered The Hobbit."
  • Hilary Swank has snapped up the film rights to the chick-lit novel Something Borrowed and its sequel for a potential starring vehicle, per Variety. The soapy saga centers on a self-professed good girl who ends up sleeping with her best friend's fiancé.
  • Real-life spouses David Mann and Tamela J. Mann of Tyler Perry's film Meet the Browns are set to reprise their roles in a TBS sitcom version developed by Perry. The cable channel has ordered 10 episodes of the show, which it plans to syndicate as a spinoff to Perry's House of Payne, TBS' all-time highest-rated original sitcom. Perry will pop up in one ep as his beloved, no-nonsese Medea.
  • Jesse James, best known for Monster Garage and being Mr. Sandra Bullock, has been signed by Spike TV for 10 episodes of Jesse James Is a Dead Man. The series will feature James partaking in potentially deadly stunts. His life is in jeopardy beginning in February.
  • Blythe Danner (aka Mother of Gwyneth) will guest in NBC's Medium as a mother whose adult daughter is missing. The Patricia Arquette-starring show returns in the midseason.

Carmen Electra: The Sex Files

More from Marc Malkin

Carmen Electra really isn’t all about sex. Really, she isn't.

At least that's what the former Baywatch babe wants us to believe.

Electra insists that you won't always find her wearing next to nothing. "One of the big misconceptions about me is that I walk around in miniskirts and high heels twenty-four seven and go to the gym in heels," she tells Jeanne Wolf at Parade.com. When people see me dressed normally, they can't believe it. It's really weird."

In fact, she say sometimes she is more Tara Patrick than Carmen Electra...

Rate-a-Trailer: Vin Diesel Gets Fast and Furious Again

Stars rise and stars fall—it's the circle of life, right? Vin Diesel's not quite ready for Dancing With the Stars, but he has returned to the series that first shot him to fame. The just-out trailer for Fast and Furious throws Vin back on the streets with Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster, in what kinda looks like a remake of the first one. Only with a bigger budget and some girl-on-girl action.

Thing is, it totally looks like fun, and exactly what we like to see Diesel doing. (His sci-fi downer Babylon A.D. opens this week—have you even heard of it?) So what do you think? Can Vin win you back, or are the Furious flicks just about chase scenes and Walker's chin anyway?

A-List Secrets: How Much Do Megan and Shia Make?

More from Ask the Answer Bitch

What's the salary range for non-A-listers in movies, people who've been around for a while but are not household names yet (Kristen Bell, Nia Long, Megan Fox)?
—Olivia

First of all, I have to take issue with your science. Nia Long has a longer string of experience than a pliant young punk like Megan Fox. Fox may have luminous eyes that glow like a sexy Gollum, but in terms of her experience, she's in a lesser category.

I point this out because, most likely, they also fall under different pay categories. And just in case I'm about to lose you, I'm also about to mention Shia LaBeouf. (Everybody scream. Eeeee!)

Does his pay fall closer to the Nia Long category or the Megan Fox column? And what is that kind of pay, anyway? Read on...

Blake Lively Ramey Photo
More from Ask the Answer Bitch

Does A-lister refer strictly to movie stars, or can celebrities on hit TV shows also be included in the term?
—Jodi W.

Absolutely not. As I've reported in the past, the only true A-listers are movie stars who can, in old Hollywood parlance, "open" a picture. Will Smith is an A-lister. Blake Lively, despite that Vanity Fair cover that had her frolicking triumphantly in her underwear, is not. Onward, with more of your Burning Q's!

When will the Sex and the City DVD be released?
