Angelina Jolie is in a French hospital to give birth. But who will liberate the twins?

Local ob-gyn Michel Sussmann is the doctor in charge of her pending delivery at Lenval hospital in Nice, the facility's spokeswoman, Nadine Bauer, tells E! News exclusively.

Bauer says Sussmann will be making a statement following the birth, but there is no word yet on when Jolie's twins are due to arrive.

Despite some media reports that Jolie's stateside doctor, Jason Rothbart, would be flying to France to tend to the delivery, he remains at his Los Angeles-area office seeing patients.

Rothbart, who also handled the births of Tori Spelling’s two children, delivered Jolie and Brad Pitt’s first biological child, Shiloh Nouvel, on May 27, 2006, at Cottage Medi-Clinic hospital in Namibia.

Independence Day could be coming early for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's latest spawn.

The Oscar-winning actress checked into a French hospital about 10 p.m. Monday to deliver her twins.

"Angelina was admitted last night and is very happy and in excellent health. Everything's going very well," Nadine Bauer, spokeswoman for the Lenval hospital in Nice, tells E! News.

Doing us the honors this time around is Tori Spelling, who appears with 2-week-old daughter Stella on the front of OK!—telling the glossy she considers her baby to be "a miracle."

"I was on one pill and wasn't feeling well, so I went off of it," recalls Tori. "Two days later, the doctor put me on another, and on that one day, we conceived. It was meant to be!"

That, or perhaps good old-fashioned biology simply had something to do with it. You see, the egg moves into the fallo—oh never mind.

Janet Jackson is so busy prepping for her upcoming Rock With U World Tour, she must have forgotten her plan to have a baby with longtime boyfriend Jermaine Dupri following said tour. Or maybe she was never clued in to the pregnancy plot?

"So, Jermaine...said that you guys may be ready for baby. Is that true?" Ryan Seacrest probed this morning on his KIIS-FM morning show.

Despite rumors she was going to hunker down and play aunt for a while, the popster touched down at LAX Friday afternoon and was immediately accosted by flashbulbs after a quick jaunt to Kentwood, La., to celebrate the arrival of sister Jamie Lynn's first child.

Maddie Briann, Jamie Lynn's daughter with fiancé Casey Aldridge, was born just after 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb, Miss., where the couple recently bought a three-bedroom home, and just a hop over the border from the Spears homestead in Kentwood.
